PAINT IT PINK FUNDRAISERS SUCCESSFUL ONCE AGAIN
Since Paint It Pink fundraising efforts began in 2007, the fund has helped to provide a digital mammography machine, as well as over 200 free diagnostic and screening mammograms and breast ultrasounds to uninsured men and women in Lincoln County. In 2017, fundraising efforts brought in another $10,500 for the fund!
"We are so proud of the work that has been accomplished, and grateful to all of the community members and businesses that come together year after year to make it possible," stated Kate Stephens, Marketing Manager at CPMC and Executive Director of the CPMC Foundation. "We want to extend a huge thank you to all of the businesses that supported this year's fundraising efforts! You all put together some really great fundraisers, and we are so grateful to everyone who helped out! The effort and generosity really is impacting our community and saving local lives."
This year's funds are being put toward the Foundation's new 3D mammography Campaign, which they just kicked off in late November. Stephens added, "The Foundation is very grateful to the Paint It Pink Distribution Committee to jumping on board with our goal to bring 3D mammography to Lincoln County! The funds raised from this year's activities will go a long way to help us kick off our campaign!"
Stephens would also like to remind the community that there are still funds available for providing free mammograms to local uninsured men and women. "The first Paint It Pink account, which is donor designate to provide free mammograms, is still going strong, and we are helping more and more people get the necessary screenings every single year," Stephens continued. "The funds from this year's activities were put into the second Paint It Pink account which was created for the detection and treatment of breast cancer for the people of Lincoln County. It's wonderful that the Foundation Board and the Paint It Pink Committee can share a common vision during this campaign and work together to bring this great technology to Lincoln County as quickly as possible."
