Devoted to Caring...Dedicated to Community

Established in 1983, Cabinet Peaks Medical Center Foundation (formerly St. John's Lutheran Hospital Foundation) provides vital philanthropic support to Cabinet Peaks Medical Center.
As the sole community medical center in the area, we must continually increase our services to meet the needs of a growing population. The expansion of the Cabinet Peaks Medical Center Foundation, and its fundraising efforts, continues to play a paramount role in the delivery of quality healthcare to Lincoln County.
The Foundation Board is made up of 12-15 community volunteers. These dedicated individuals organize a number of fundraising events throughout the year, and also provide financial resource information to donors to assist them in finding the most tax advantaged method of gifting.
Over the years, the Foundation has raised millions of dollars for the benefit of your health and the health of your family and friends.
The Foundation's most recent accomplishments include the raising of $1,000,000 in the Qualified Permanent Endowment Fund, $250,000 to bring Digital Mammography to the residents of Lincoln County, and over $2,000,000 for the New Hospital Building Project, which helped to make Cabinet Peaks Medical Center a reality.

CPMC Foundation Society Membership and Donor Recognition

The Donor Wall of Honor represents donations of $500 or more to our foundation from 1990 forward. Fundraising efforts prior to 1990 are recognized in other locations throughout our campus.
Each donor, recognized on the wall for their generosity, becomes a member of the CPMC Foundation Society. Society members receive newsletters keeping them up to date on medical center and foundation activities, tickets to the Annual Society Appreciation Dinner, and invitations to medical center events.

Why Give to the CPMC Foundation?

Whether for you or your loved ones, you want the best healthcare possible when you need it. Cabinet Peaks Medical Center exists to serve those needs in our region. The Foundation exists to make sure that Cabinet Peaks Medical Center can continue to provide that care for generations to come.
Donors give to the Foundation for many reasons: a concern for the future of Cabinet Peaks Medical Center, a desire to help the community, as a memorial to honor a loved one, or as a planned gift as part of an estate or tax plan. The CPMC Foundation is designed to accommodate all these needs and help our donors while they help us.

Gifting Options

Gifts of Cash

Charitable gifts are most often made in the form of cash or checks. If you itemize your tax deductions, gifts of cash may be fully deductible up to 50% of your adjusted gross income (AGI).

Gifts of Qualified Assets

Stocks, bonds, mutual funds, life insurance policies, real estate, works of art, and other items of value and investments make attractive gifts because their full value is generally deductible from income tax and, if you have held them for more than one year, allow you to by-pass capital gains that would otherwise be due on a sale.

All donations to Cabinet Peaks Medical Center Foundation are tax deductible. Each donor receives a receipt from the Foundation for any donation.

The Executive Director of the Foundation would be happy to sit down with you to discuss your gifting options. The possibilities are endless and tax rewarding! Please call us 406-283-7140 or send us an email.
