Cabinet Peaks Hires New Health Information Management Department Manager
Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is delighted to welcome to the community Jennifer Moffett, RHIA as the new Health Information Management (HIM) Department Manager for the medical center.
Moffett earned a Bachelors of Science in Health Information Management from East Central University. Additionally, she holds a certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator and is a member of the American Health Information Management Association. Before moving to Lincoln County, Moffett was at St. Luke's Health System - Wood River Medical Center in Sun Valley, ID for 8 years. During her tenure there, she acted as the HIM Manager, HIPAA Privacy Officer, and Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Specialist. She has worked in the HIM and healthcare field for more than 12 years.
When asked what she has planned for her department, Moffett stated, "For starters, implementing CDI to improve patient health outcomes, ensure financial responsibility, and become an integral part of the already present HIM team."
Brigid Burke, Chief Financial Officer at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center happily welcomed Moffett to the team. "We are excited to welcome Jennifer to Cabinet Peaks. Her knowledge, experience, and passion for process improvement will help lead our team to many future successes."
Moffett and her husband Tony enjoy hiking, fishing, kayaking, wildlife photography, rock hunting, and prospecting. Together they have two boys, Kalen (23) who is in college and Michael (24) who is in the air force. They also have a 3.5 year old granddaughter. They moved to the area with their ragdoll cat.
