The hiring crew has done a very good job of picking the right personalities for their different jobs. Everyone I met was very good at what they were doing. I appreciate having services available in Troy so a drive to Libby isn't necessary. The willingness to develop home therapy exercises and listen to observations about personal habits that may have contributed to the physical distress causing the referral was appreciated so a plan for rehabilitation could be developed. "I wish to write a thank you letter to all the staff at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center for their great care and expertise. They showed me when I was admitted with a stroke. I had been told that the hospital here was a good place to go to die. Those who said that have no idea what they are talking about.
It would be impossible to single out any one person or job description because they are all very professional, and the people who you don't see, such as the kitchen staff, the business office, and those who deal with Medicare and the VA. If I had to do that, I'm sure I'd have another stroke. I am continuing with in-home physical and occupational therapy. With their guidance, I am functioning very well and recovering well. A very sincere thank you!"

My daughter had to bring one of the wranglers from our ranch in to CPMC last night because a stick poked him in the eye while checking fence. I went down to sit with them while he was there. Dolly (Miller) was so sweet and helpful at the front desk, the nurse, a really tall gentleman, was wonderful and of course Jay (Maloney, MD) is the best physician out there! They were very thorough and careful with his eye and of course their bed side manner was the best! I always think that we need to let management know when employees go the extra mile and make patients feel genuinely cared for! Another GREAT EXPERIENCE for Cabinet Peaks Medical Center!"

"I can't say enough about CPMC. The ED, 2nd floor, how the people treated me, everyone greeted me with a smile, they were just so happy. It was a grand experience. I shared with the Auxiliary yesterday the wonderful experience I had here. I also went and told Tom in the kitchen how wonderful the food was. If it wasn't for everyone here, I may not have made it through the night. They did all kinds of tests to figure out that I had (diagnosis). I feel very blessed. I was so sick for a long time and didn't even know it. My body was shutting down. Now I feel so much better and I'm going to be your biggest cheerleader. I baked huckleberry muffins for everyone on the 2nd floor. I'm going to tell everyone in Libby how wonderful my experience was at CPMC."

After our birth experience at the hospital I would like to give a huge thanks to Nurse Dawna. Anyhow, we had a rather long labor/delivery and she was absolutely awesome. She made us not only feel welcome but like we could ask any question and not feel stupid. Being first time parents, as one can imagine, we had a lot of questions. She even went above and beyond when my baby was having trouble breastfeeding to help me learn how to put my breast pump together and get it running before we went home. I know a lot of people who go outside of Libby to have their babies, and in some circumstances I'm sure it is necessary, however, we would not hesitate to recommend CPMC to anyone! Dr. Rice was our doctor, and he was exceptional and honestly, all of the nurses were great, but there was just something about Dawna that was so awesome. She checked on us, walked us out when it was time to go, and the list goes on and on. I hope that Nurse Dawna gets the credit she deserves.

My wife had neck surgery a couple of weeks ago and the experience was great. The operation was very successful, but we wanted you to know everyone in the hospital went out of their way to make it a pleasant stay for her. From the
front desk (Cindy) to the pre-op (Erin) and everyone afterwards, it was very nice. While I was waiting during the operation, several people asked if I needed anything.
The doctor was also very pleased with the nursing staff and made it a point to say so.
Also, I needed several x-rays and the way the doctor had written them up was a little confusing. The Imaging staff (Allye) figured things out and were very friendly and efficient.
It is quite evident someone has put emphasis on people's attitudes and their courtesy. We just wanted you to know it's working.

Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is more than a "band-aid" station.
I wanted to write this letter, as I was recently a patient at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center. I, for a long time, thought of our hospital as a band-aid station and told my family that if I was ever sick to make sure I was taken to Kalispell or Spokane. I now realize how wrong I was. I recently had a medical emergency and have to be the first to admit that I received outstanding medical care here in Libby. I think kudos are in order to Cabinet Peaks Medical Center. From the receptionists and the operating room physicians (Tony Fantozzi and his nursing staff) to Dr. Ercanbrack and his surgical team, the second floor nurses, assistants, and everyone connected to patient care and comfort, even the cleaning ladies. Dr. Ercanbrack's bedside manner was the best I've ever seen. He was truly concerned with my welfare and recovery. He absolutely went the extra mile for me! I'd have to say that my experience at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center was the best I've ever had at any hospital. We, as a community, should be very proud of our local hospital and utilize the services we have here in our community. I know that I will think twice before I take my healthcare outside of Libby.
