Program Therapist (PRN) - Senior Life Solutions
Senior Life Solutions, developed by Psychiatric Medical Care, is an intensive outpatient psychiatric program designed to meet the needs of adults over the age of 65 who are struggling with issues such as depression or anxiety that can often be related to aging. The patient is offered services by an interdisciplinary team of caring, experienced, behavioral health professionals, which includes a psychiatrist, licensed therapist, and registered nurse. Established in 1992, we operate over 35 programs from North Carolina to California.
JOB OVERVIEW: Seeking LCSW/Therapist to work PRN (fill in as needed) to provide quality social services for clients with group, individual, and family therapy sessions, with a special emphasis on discharge planning needs.
- Therapy sessions are on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

EDUCATION: Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited Graduate School of Social Work.
LICENSURE: LCSW preferred; must meet scope of service for State of practice. Some states accept LPC's to provide therapy within a hospital environment
CERTIFICATION: The Social Worker must meet any applicable State certification standards.
EXPERIENCE: Two to three years of clinical experience with older persons, and hospital or nursing home experience preferred with extensive group work experience.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of community resources for older persons, knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and insurance requirements as these relate to continuing care. Familiarity with medical terminology and conditions as these impact discharge needs. Familiarity with medical team roles and with the functioning of other hospital departments. Knowledge of effective individual and group communication techniques.
This is a FILL-IN (PRN) day position.
