Cabinet Peaks Medical Center Welcomes Foundation Director

Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is proud to announce the appointment of Shelby Johnson as the new Executive Director of the Cabinet Peaks Medical Center Foundation. With a strong background in law, organization, and community-focused work, Shelby brings experience, enthusiasm, and a forward-thinking approach to the Foundation’s mission of supporting quality healthcare in Lincoln County.

Shelby holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Montana State University. Prior to joining Cabinet Peaks, she worked at Heenan & Cook Law Firm as a Paralegal and Legal Assistant, where she developed valuable skills in communication, project management, and coordination that will help advance the Foundation’s goals.

Since stepping into her role, Shelby has hit the ground running—building relationships, learning the ins and outs of Foundation operations, and diving headfirst into planning this year’s Festival of Trees Gala on December 13. This beloved event celebrates community generosity during the holiday season, and Shelby is already bringing fresh ideas and excitement to the tradition. She is also exploring new ways to further grow fundraising opportunities that support exceptional healthcare right here at home.

“I am honored to step into this role and continue the incredible work the Foundation has done to support our hospital and community,” said Johnson. “My goal is to build on that spirit of giving and help ensure Cabinet Peaks continues to thrive for generations to come. As one of my favorite quotes reminds me, ‘Courage is not simply one of the virtues, but the form of every virtue at the testing point.’”

Cabinet Peaks Medical Center CEO Tadd Greenfield shared his enthusiasm for Shelby’s leadership.
“We are thrilled to welcome Shelby to the Foundation team. Her professionalism, dedication, and skill set make her a great fit for this important role. The Foundation plays a vital part in our hospital’s future, and I am confident she will help lead it to continued success.”

Outside of work, Shelby and her husband Logan enjoy spending time outdoors with their two dogs. Together, they love exploring, rock crawling, and snow wheeling whenever they have the chance. Shelby mentions: “Libby offers the kind of community and slower pace of life that allows families to grow with strong, traditional values. I feel blessed to live and work in a place that still embraces those ideals.”

Cabinet Peaks Medical Center and the Foundation Board warmly welcome Shelby Johnson and invite the community to join in supporting the Foundation’s mission to keep healthcare strong in Lincoln County.
