Cabinet Peaks Clinic General Surgery provides comprehensive evaluations and treatments to general surgery health conditions. We use surgical techniques that include minimally invasive procedures, specialized equipment and laparoscopic procedures. Our providers work closely with patients' referring physicians as well as other medical professionals to provide an individualized comprehensive experience. Cabinet Peaks Clinic General Surgery is dedicated to providing high-quality personalized surgical care to all of our patients.

Our Providers
Thad Kandel, General Surgeon Dr. Kandel brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Cabinet Peaks. He is American Board of Surgery Certified, Fundamentals of Laparoscopic and Endoscopic Surgery Certified, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the Society of Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons. Trained in Pennsylvania, Dr. Kandel is dedicated to bring his skills and compassionate care to the residents of Libby and the surrounding areas.
Justine Gavagan, General Surgeon Dr. Justine Gavagan brings strong surgical training and a commitment to quality care to the General Surgery Clinic at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Wisconsin and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Philosophy from the State University of New York at Albany. Dr. Gavagan completed both her General Surgery Internship and Residency at Oregon Health and Science University, where she developed expertise in advanced surgical techniques. She is dedicated to providing skilled and compassionate surgical care to the residents of Libby and the surrounding areas.
